Erik Brienza

About

Since
age three.

A life lived in rhythm — from a toddler who read music before he could talk, to one of Turin's most dedicated session drummers and educators.

Age 3

A natural-born drummer

Erik began playing drums in a way best described as innate: he could already play and read music before he had learned to speak. That same year he began private studies with Luciano Alì, drummer for Mina and many other leading Italian artists.

Age 3–13

Ten years with Luciano Alì

A decade of study covering every technical and musical aspect of the instrument, building a solid artistic and rhythmic foundation.

Age 5

First stages & television

As a child he performed at his father's concerts and took part in several television events — including an appearance at the Zecchino d'Oro when he was just five years old.

Age 14

First bands

He joined the first bands in his area, stepping into more mature musical settings and sharing the stage with musicians his own age.

2017–2024

Five Hundred

Erik joined the emerging band Five Hundred for over seven years, releasing two albums of original music and performing extensively across Northern Italy, Rome and Tuscany. A defining chapter that put him up against increasingly professional settings.

Becoming an educator

He began working professionally as a drum teacher, collaborating with music schools and private students — passing on not just technique, but the passion and respect for music he has carried since childhood.

2022

Studies with Daniel Fasano

Erik studied with Daniel Fasano, a reference drummer in contemporary Italian pop, deepening the modern side of the instrument and expanding his technical and stylistic range.

Today

Performer & teacher

Erik carries forward both of his musical souls — session work, theatre productions, live events, original projects and teaching — with the same curiosity and dedication he had at three years old.
